Morning at the Park

Last night Mark, Angela, Jayden, and Grammy came to town for Brody's birthday weekend.  This morning we decided to take the kids to the park (aka Daddy Steve and Namaw's house) while it was still cool (meaning it was only 90 degrees outside rather than 105)!

Since I haven't posted a picture yet of the playset that Daddy Steve, Namaw, Mike, Caleb, Tyler, & Audria built...here it is in all it's awesomeness...
Jayden (as always) was more interested in the basketball goal.  He's not even 2 years old yet and he was swishing the basketball from pretty far back.  It's impressive!
Then he discovered the battery powered 4-wheeler.  He couldn't wipe the grin off his face as he rode it around the yard.
Brody really wanted someone to play on the playset with him (the little boys were busy playing with other things) so Namaw volunteered.  The only stipulation?  She didn't want to put her coffee down!  I think this shows that she has good coordination.  Would you be able to go down a slide without spilling your cup of coffee?
More exciting than the playset (at least for the boys) was watching tree trimmers clean up some of the debris in the greenbelt behind/beside Daddy Steve and Namaw's house.  Brody and Barrett were facinated with the chainsaws and front end loader.
Again...Namaw to the rescue.  She volunteered to sit out front with the boys while the rest of us escaped to the air conditioning inside the house.  They sat out front watching the guys load debris into a dumpster for at least an hour!
When the kids got hungry, we left the park and walked back home.  It's nice having a park within walking distance!!!

Love the playset! I'm sure the boys (and it looks like Namaw & Daddy Steve too) enjoy it!

That is the neatest one I have seen in a backyard. I know that everyone will enjoy. Such a pretty backyard. Good job putting together!!!
