Little Grille/Birthday Obsession

I really need to write these stories down so I don't forget about them....

Brody and Barrett love going to the gym with me.  There is some truck that is so fun that they want to go to the gym just so they can play with the truck.  It was probably only the 2nd time they'd gone to the gym with me (remember, I usually go at 5 am...so only since they've started asking to go play at the gym have I given up 1 or 2 early morning workouts a week in order to go later so they can go with me)...I think it was a couple of months ago?  Anyways, as we left the gym that day the boys both told me about how a little girl had taken off Barrett's glasses and then attempted to grab his Pop Tart and eat it.  Brody assured me that the babysitter saved the day and rescued Barrett from the toddler girl.

Fast forward to the present.  On a daily basis Barrett likes to tell us the story.  It goes something like this (make sure you read it with a Texas twang), "Little grille (that's what girl sounds like) took glasses at the gym!"  It sounds so cute when he says it (and is voice is filled with so much passion and concern) that you can't help but smile (and try not to laugh) as you assure him that yes, the girl took his glasses...but he has them back now and everything is right in the world!

Barrett's other obsession right now is the song "Happy Birthday".  Do you know how frustrating it is when "It's a Small World" gets stuck in your head?  Well...I'm wondering if "Happy Birthday" is stuck in Barrett's head...and if it's been stuck there since Collin's birthday back at the beginning of JUNE!?!??!?  If it is stuck in his head, I fell sorry for him!  If he just loves the song...well...he's sure been giving us a good laugh!

Barrett tends to bust out with a round of "Happy Birthday" approximately 12-15 times in any given day.  It doesn't really matter where we are.  We can be at home, riding in the car, at the grocery store, or sitting at a restaurant.  I think that whenever the song comes into his head he can't help but sing it out loud!  He doesn't just sing it under his breath...he's sings it loud enough for the world to hear!  It shocks you at first.  You'll be pushing the cart through the grocery store when all of the sudden, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BARRETT!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"  It startles you and you can't help but laugh!  Thankfully it sounds really cute when he sings it (again...imagine the Texas twang) and everyone grins as they push their grocery carts by the little boys singing "Happy Birthday".

You didn't mention the "fall off bike" story that he tells at least once a day.
