It's ok. Jesus is my friend.

I walked in to find Brianna painting her nails. I don't mean pretend painting. I mean she had all the nail polish lined up, opened one of them, and was attempting to paint her fingernails!!!

When I said her name, she startled and looked up at me with a grin. She said, "What?! Jesus said it was ok for me to paint them and Jesus is my friend!"

I just laughed and took over painting. I told her that one of the little ones she had out was from my wedding. She said, "I'm gonna get married too! I'm gonna marry Daddy. He'll be Eugene and we'll have Pascal and live in my tower with kids!!"

Butterfly Food

Bri just called me back to the boys room where they were all piled in the bunk beds. She said, "My tummy hurts!" When I asked "Why?" she said, "Because I didn't eat my butterfly food and pizza."

Huh?!?

She repeated, "I didn't eat my butterfly food and pizza!"

Brody and I looked at each other in confusion. What in the world is butterfly food?!?!? Finally B goes, "Ohhhhhhh! Wings!!"

Oh my goodness!! I was dying laughing!!! Yes, we had wings and pizza. And our precious little princess heard "wings" and in her head associated that with butterflies. I'm so glad she's all girl! It really adds a fun dimension to our family!

"When I'm 5!"

Last week Bri told Daddy Steve that she would be grown up when she's five. He laughed and showed her by counting on his fingers, "After 5, you'll be 6 and then 7!" She looked at his hands and said, "No! I already be 2!"  We laughed and thought that she assumed a full hand = grown up.

Over the past week she keeps asking me if she's 5 yet...and then sounds exasperated when I say no. For some reason she can't wait to be 5?!

Tonight she asked again if she was 5. I told her no and she sighed and said, "Five is soooo high." High? We were confused.  She said "come see!"....and took us to look at our growth chart.

Oh!!!! Five! As in five feet! Yes! That actually could be a grown up!! Lol

Bri's car

Bri (after waking up from her nap): Did you got shopping?

Me: um. No?! Did you go shopping?

Bri: No. I don't have a car yet. I'm gonna ask Santa to bring me one for Christmas.

Oh boy. She's only 2! (at least for a few more weeks)
