Dart vs. Army Men

I was working from home today while Barrett and Axton played together. Daddy Steve came over to visit them on his lunch break and arrived just in time for the battle...

Extra Time

I just put Brianna down for a nap and came out to find ALL the boys asleep too! What should I do with this precious time...sleep? or tackle some of the things on my to do list?!? I have to hurry and decide or the time will be gone!!

Good Citizen

We were so proud of Brody when we found out that the teachers at his school gave him the citizenship award for this 6 weeks! There are 5 Kindergarten classes of 20-25 students each...and only 3 students were chosen. We got to go to a breakfast in his honor at school this morning. So proud!

Last day in Ms. Pam's class

We LOVE Ms. Pam! Barrett was sad that today was his last day in her class...but he assured me that he'd still get to see her every school day next year.  She is such an amazing teacher and we have been blessed to have her teach both of our boys.  We hope that she's still teaching by the time Brianna is in the 3/4 year old class!!

What month is it?!?

Audria and I took the kids to the park this morning.  Axton insisted on wearing his "Daddy clothes" (gym shorts and a cut off t-shirt) while Barrett dressed himself in lined windpants and a Rudolf long sleeve t-shirt!  Just so I know when I look back at this pictures years from now...Barrett choose poorly.  It wasn't cold in Texas at the end of May...and he was thankful that I brought a t-shirt that he could change into.

The Fans...

Brody bats 1.000!!!

Today was the last game of the season for Brody's 7UAA Marlins.  Before we left for the game I told Mike that I had butterflies in my stomach!  We hadn't told Brody how good his batting average was this season because we didn't want him to focus on a number.  A few weeks ago he told me, "You know Momma?  One thing I think I'm doing better at this season is hitting.  I don't remember, but I may not have gotten out at all."

I wanted to jump up and down and say, "You're right!  You're batting 1.000 right now!  That means you've had a hit EVERY at bat!  So don't mess up these last few games...you gotta get a hit every at bat to keep your record going!"  Instead I replied, "I think you are doing better.  Just take it one pitch at a time and make sure you concentrate on making each hit a good one."

Brody was first in the line up this year (meaning he got more at bats during each game).  The last game today was the most nervewracking for me!  Seriously...it's only 7UAA baseball...but I wanted to see the look on his face when Mike told him about his record!  I wanted it for him so bad!  Each time he was at the plate I watched on the edge of my seat as time after time he'd make a solid hit and get on base.

Mike and I high fived after the game....Brody did it!  He had a hit and got on base every single at bat this season!  I think a few buttons popped off Mike's shirt tonight...

I waited with anticipation to see Brody's reaction when Mike gave him the news that he finished the season with 1.000 batting average.  After hearing about how proud we are of him, Brody looked up at Mike and said, "Isn't that what you're supposed to do?  Aren't you supposed to get a hit every at bat?!"

Game Ball Barrett

Tonight Barrett got the game ball after his 5U Marlins game! Mike was in Houston on a business trip...but Coach Dan and Coach Rush posted for a picture with the MVP.
Ava Grace (Coach Dan's youngest) adores Brianna.  She was so excited to see her that she rode all the way out to the field on my stroller like this....

Bri's 1st movie

Brianna got to go to the movies today!  Ashley, Heather, Cindy, and I took the little kids to see The Croods.  It was a good movie...and Bri was good too!  I only had to leave to change her diaper.  I don't think she actually watched the movie...but it provided a good napping atmosphere for her ;)
