From KS to CO

Today Mike picked me and Brody up from work at noon to start the long drive from Kansas to Colorado. We stopped around 4:00 pm to feed Brody dinner at a beautiful rest stop just east of Colorado. Brody was very excited to get out of the car. He cried when we put him back in the car to keep driving!

We stopped for dinner at Carl Jr's in Colorado Springs and then drove on to Ben & Julie's house. There was still some daylight as we left the Springs, so we were able to take in the beauty of Pikes Peak and the foothills. We arrived in Buena Vista around 9:00 pm and took Brody right to bed. We talked to Ben and Julie for a little while and then we all headed to bed.
