After lunch we headed to Sterling. We were excited to see Chris, Teri, Collin, Erin, Hans, & Allan...even if it was only for a few hours. The kids showed us the baby kittens they'd been taking care of (I just saw on Teri's Facebook page that they found homes for all of them. Yay!)
The kids spent most of our visit playing outside. Everyone took turns pushing our boys around on different toys. I think Brody could've peddled himself around, but it was more fun when one of the big kids pushed him!
Here's a picture of Alan pushing Barrett on the tricycle. This isn't the best picture to see their faces, but Mike and I have always thought Barrett looks a lot like Alan. We babysat for Chris & Teri for the first time when Alan was just a baby. As a toddler he earned the nickname "Whompie" and there have been several times that I've caught Mike calling Barrett "Whompie".
Collin figured out a way to push Brody without putting strain on his back. Yes...even younguns backs get tired when they bend over for a long time.
When someone noticed that Lacy (the lab) had "something", everyone had to run over to investigate. Turns out it was a lizard.
We also got to see the goats that Erin is raising (Brody laughed so hard he cried when one of the goats sneezed on him!) and spent a few hours just catching up. Chris, Teri, and kids are going on a mission trip to Africa later this year and they told me that they're going to try to fly out of DFW so they can visit us first. I hope it works out where they get to come visit!
Before we left Alan gave Brody a scooter that was too small for him. Brody was so excited about it and as soon as we got back to Grammy's house he was riding it on the sidewalks. He actually asked me to take a picture of him riding so he could see how he looked on the scooter! lol

When Grammy got home from work we drove to Great-Grandma K's house and picked her up (literally...it's quite a step up into the Jeep...especially for G-ma K who is under 5' tall) to go to dinner. We went to dinner at a restaurant called "Mom's".
I think Grandma K enjoyed eating with us and laughing at all the silly things the boys were saying/doing. She was surprised by our visit and I hope it helped brighten her day!
After dinner we stopped at the grocery store for supplies for breakfast (both boys were begging Grammy to make biscuits and gravy...and when you hear Barrett begging for biscuits and gravy it's so cute that it's impossible to resist!) along with some ice cream.
Originally I'd planned to drive back to TX on Wednesday, but when Nancy told me that Rod (her boss) told her she could have Wednesday off work to spend with the grandkids...we decided to stay an extra day!
