Campground Birthday

Yesterday we went to Lake Lewisville to celebrate Lauren & Katelyn's birthdays. Dad had fun grilling the 1/2 pound burgers that Julie bought for us to eat. They were yummy but HUGE!!! Would you believe that Katelyn ate an entire burger!

Katelyn and Lauren ready to open presents. They were having so much fun playing that they didn't want to stop and open their presents!

Bella showed us all the real meaning of relaxation!

After lunch and "attempted" nap times, Matt took us out on his boat. This was Barrett's first boat ride. He was a little nervous at first, but he ended up loving it!

We stopped at a little island to let the kids get out and play on the beach.

Barrett got pretty sandy playing on the beach, so after I got him cleaned off (at least as clean as you can get with lake water), I held him until I took him back to the boat. Hmmm. This doesn't look very comfortable when I see a picture of it!

Here's a picture of Matt and Julie's boat.

On the way back to our campsite, Matt showed Brody how to drive the boat.

Barrett enjoyed trading spots during the drive back. First he sat with Daddy, then Mommy, then finally Daddy Steve!
After we ate dinner, Lauren convinced Daddy Steve to go on a bike ride with her. Since Ron had a baby seat to attach to the adult bike, Barrett got to ride along.

When darkness set in, the kids got anxious for the adults to start a campfire (mainly so they could roast marshmellows). Brody stood just staring at the fire...until he decided that it was too hot and made him too sweaty.
I just realized that 99% of the pictures I posted were of the kids. There were adults there too! Matt, Julie and their family; Ron & Jan; GG; Jon, Cindy & Bella; Daddy Steve & Namaw; Caleb & Audria; Tyler; Matt's parents and brother; and our family were all present. It was a warm day, but we had fun hanging out at the campsite! We went home with two very tired/dirty boys.
