We had a great time as a family on Halloween night. Daddy Steve, Namaw, Caleb, Audria, Tyler, and Ann came over for pizza. Then Namaw, Caleb, and Audria stayed at our house to pass out candy while the rest of us took Brody and Barrett trick-or-treating.
Our neighbors go all out for Halloween. Many of the houses were decorated and a lot of the neighbors were sitting in chairs on their porches or driveways to hand out candy to the little ones. Our neighborhood has lots of kids...and they were all out trick-or-treating last night! It was fun to see all the kids dressed up and having fun.
Brody ran from house to house and was proud of himself for saying "Trick-or-Treat" and "Thank you!" We had to remind him several times to just take one piece of candy (and not to ask for more)! Barrett was much slower than Brody, especially since he wanted to walk up to the doors unassisted. He'd toddle up there carrying his over sized pumpkin bucket and then hold it up for the person to put candy inside. Sometimes he'd forget about the candy and just start talking about the person's decorations. He'd point and say, "Wow!" or "Ooooo!" and we'd have to practically drag him away to go to the next house. He looked so adorable waddling up to the doors in his little bear costume, and I'm sure he melted a few hearts when he'd turn around (after walking half way back to us) and wave and say "Bye bye!" really loud.
When we got back to our house we got the boys to bed and then the adults hung out talking and watching a movie (Twilight). It was a fun filled day for children and adults alike!

We had SO much fun with y'all. I loved getting to trick or treat with the boys... I am still talking about it. I loved that Brody would hold my hand inbetween each house- it made my night! Barrett was the cutest thing I have ever seen!!! I am smiling right now thinking about him walking up to the houses.
We loved getting to spend time with everyone!
Wish we lived in the same town....with the fun at our house and the fun at your house, we just never would have gone to bed! We are blessed to live in neighborhoods where we can trust people and there are still lots of kids to make it fun. That's what it's all about!
