House Warming

Chris asked Mike to stop by his house on the way to Bible study on Sunday night because he had something to give Mike. I assumed he just needed to return some tool he borrowed (they trade lots of tools)! When we got to their house, Chris and Teri said they had wanted to give us a house warming gift....and two years later they had it ready to give us. We were shocked! Chris then proceeded to pull out this beautiful piece of art that he had his dad make for us! Dick (Chris's dad) carved this deer out of different kinds of wood. The different colors aren't stain...they're different woods! Isn't that cool?! We were so humbled to be given such a gift from the heart. Now comes the hard part. We have to decide where to hang it!!!

Staci, your Grandpa would have really liked that carving. It is beautiful, and it took many hours to carve I am sure. It is truly a gift of love. Glad you have such wonderful friends.

I always tell everyone that you live in a very special town, not because of the lake, not because of the sunflowers and wheat, but because of the wonderful people that live there. You are so blessed with deep frienships.

The carving is fantastic!
