The other day Barrett came into the kitchen and asked me for scissors. I showed him where the kid scissors were and he said, "Those won't work!" When I asked what he needed them for he said, "I'm gonna go cut you a flower from the backyard! But don't watch me...it's gonna be a special surprise!" So I handed him the real scissors (with "be careful" instructions) and then peeked out through the back blinds as he went to cut me a flower.
Doesn't this just melt your heart?!
Some of you may be wondering if this is posted in the wrong month since Barrett is wearing a Santa hat. Nope. He found it yesterday. It's been warm here this week and Mike turned on the A/C...so I think Barrett figured with as cold as he is inside...it's ok to wear his Santa hat. Oh...and his Samurai shirt and puppy jammie pants. I decided to just call him Samurai Santa ;)

Awww! I love Barrett!
lol....Samurai Santa....love that! That's better than a Power Ranger...and more original!
Yes, it's always an upper when your children love you enough to bring you flowers...especially when they go to all that work to get them for you!
Iwonder what age they realize you need a little bit of stem to put in the vase....
Barrett is such a sweet heart!
