Fireproof

We went to see Fireproof last Thursday night with Caleb & Audria. It was a REALLY good movie! Everyone who reads this needs to go see the movie. Do what you have to do. Hire a babysitter, make a date with your wife, and support this movie in the box office! Then leave a comment and let me know what you think about it! These are the kind of movies Hollywood should be putting out!!!

I totally agree with you. Our whole family went opening weekend and we enjoyed it immensely. Note to Steve if he reads this: I didn't even come close to falling asleep. My kind of movie!!

Oh, one more comment. We all loved the song about waiting in the movie. You can get it from I-tunes.

I agree with Paula.... great movie! If you are married, it is the movie for you. I am a witness that Paula didn't fall asleep...she actually teared up a few times. The song called "While I'm Waiting" is really good. Definitely worth the 99 cents off itunes! This movie I also think hits really close to home for a lot of people. I noticed some people in our theatre leave during the movie...I'm guessing it was a little too realistic for some. For a low budget film, I agree that this is the type of movie that should be made more often.

If you are in the mood to take a load off at the movies, I would not recommend seeing this one. It is more on the serious side, but very good.

ok, so i have to add another comment. in the paper this morning fireproof was listed with the other movies that are out. however, there are NO REVIEWS on it. only a small 1 line phrase describing the movie! this irks me because this movie is awesome, but apparently none of the reviewers want to give it the credit it deserves! so even though you may not see many reviews on this movie, you need to go see it because it's really good!

I'm excited to see it...of course, it's not in Hutch yet :( But when it is, we're going! My parents went to see it and they sent all of us kids $20 for going to see it!

Todd and I saw this movie tonight - AWESOME! It was really an incredible movie and made us think about many things, relationship to GOD, to spouse and to parents. As well as being more candid about GOD with our friends and family and even people we don't know.

Wow! We wanted to see this movie, and after reading your post, we hired the babysitter (actually, just bought friends some pizza to stay with our kids) and we went and saw it last night. What a well made, low budget film! :) We have a wonderful marriage, but it was such a good reminder of the "slow fade" that can happen to anyone. Also, we decided we want to be the "Michael" in our friends lives. And, will you ever look and salt and pepper the same again? Tear jerker and a wonderful movie...we'll be buying it when it's on DVD.
