Sunday

We woke up this morning thankful that Brody's tummy felt normal and Barrett's eye wasn't pink. His eye is still goopy, but I think he just has a cold (along with two teeth that are trying to come in. What timing!)

Mike and Chris left before dawn to go hunting. Teri made pancakes for me and then kids and then we busied ourselves getting everyone ready for church. The guys got home just before we left for Sunday school. They'd had a successful morning hunt! They hurried to wash up so they could meet us for the worship service (they were only 10 minutes late...Chris claims it's because church started early.)

We had fun seeing so many old friends at church this morning. I'm always amazed with how fast the kids grow! After church it was back to Chris & Teri's for lunch. Almost as soon as we'd finished eating, the kids engaged the dads in a nerf gun war (guess the grown men can't get enough shooting! lol)

Brody worked his charm and was able to convince everyone to stop the nerf gun war and join him on the trampoline.

Even Mike joined in on the bouncing fun.

Before long it was nap time...which means "hunting time" in Mike & Chris talk. While the boys napped, I actually took a nap too! I can't remember the last time that I took a nap. It felt amazing!

When the kids woke up, Teri and I took Brody and Barrett outside to do a few chores. Feeding the chickens was one of the most exciting. Brody enjoyed throwing the food to the chickens. Barrett mainly commented from the sidelines.

Brody caught sight of Chris' semi and was very excited when Teri suggested climbing up to look into the trailer.

The men arrived home from another successful hunt just in time to head back to church for the Thanksgiving soup supper. It was a wonderful evening of fellowship and praise. Our time with our family at church really made us miss living in small town America. We are so thankful that we have eternity to spend with this body of believers...but we miss them while we're in Texas!

We will miss you too! Thanks for the fun pics on the post, That semi looks huge compared to Barrett. I'm glad he did not want to go up there!
